Stories

Jerry

When my wife was pregnant with our first child she was going to school in a building that also had an abortion clinic in it. She was about 4 months along and was showing a little. Every time she went to school they had security that had to escort her through a crazy mob of protestors who grabbed at her yelling things like "Dont kill your baby!!"

Mariah, 19

Shortly after turning 18 and in my final semester of high school, I found out I was pregnant by my boyfriend of two years.

Anti-choice people try to stop women from choosing abortion by scaring them. They warp scientific facts to push their agenda.

The Challenge

What's best for women's health and sound science should guide our public policy. Sadly, anti-choice groups don't agree. They try to use the government and other programs to spread misinformation and attack science-based research.

  • For example, they try to convince women that abortion causes breast cancer. False.
  • They might also say that women who choose abortion develop a mental illness. False.

We know that scientific studies say that neither is true. Opponents of choice don't care. They'll say anything to attack a woman's right to choose.

Our Solution

Opponents of choice spread lies to scare women. Don't let their false claims go unanswered.

We can fight these distortions of science. Every time you hear a false claim about abortion, please share the facts.
